Clustered foliage rosettes of Bucks-horn Plantain (Plantago coronopus), a Eurasian and North African annual or short-lived perennial that most commonly occurs in coastal regions, even on salt marshes. It is readily distinguished from most other plantains by its lobed leaves and its often nodding flowerheads. The anthers are typically cream, but may be pink.
