Late spring foliage of the Sessile Oak or Durmast Oak (Quercus petraea), a deciduous tree up to 45m tall Found from Europe to western Russia, and similar to the common. Quercus robur, it differs in details, such as the depth, number and shape of the leaf lobes, and much longer flower catkins.
