Polygala myrtifolia var. grandiflora, the commonly cultivated large-flowered form of an evergreen shrub native to South Africa. It is an almost continuous-flowering, spreading bush up to 25m high and wide. Despite the superficial similarities of the flowers, it is not in the pea family (Fabaceae) but its own family, the Polygalaceae. Order: Fabales, Family: Polygalaceae
