Senecio scandens, a scrambling, semi-climbing evergreen perennial or subshrub that can cover large areas and become an invasive weed. It is native to East Asia, has fleshy leaves, red-tinted stems and flowers mainly in winter. In general appearance it is very like German Ivy (<i>Delairea odorata [syn. Senecio mikanioides]), but its flowers have conspicuous ray florets, which those of German Ivy lack. senecio-3303htm'>Senecio.
