Phormium colensoi (syn. Phormium cookianum) 'Cream Delight', a variegated 12m high x 2m wide cultivar of Mountain flax, one of the New Zealand flax species. Its mid-green leaves have a variable cream centres, often so wide that just a narrow band of green is left along the edge of the leaves. It is easily confused with the very similar but generally considerably smaller. Phormium colensoi. Also, Phormium colensoi has greenish yellow flowers and twisted seed pods, as opposed to the reddish flower and smooth seed pods of Phormium tenax. Order: Asparagales, Family: Asphodelaceae
