Kalmia latifolia 'Sarah', a deep pinkish red and white-flowered cultivar of the Calico. Bush or Mountain Laurel, a very hardy, spring-flowering, evergreen shrub native to eastern North America. A member of the erica family, it thrives in cool moist conditions with humus-rich acid soil. Its flowers, which are usually pale pink, are very dainty, resembling cake decoration buds.
