Great Burdock or Giant Burdock (<i>Arctium lappa</i>), a 15-18m high Eurasian biennial considered a weed but widely used as a medicinal herb, primarily for skin diseases. It also has edible leaves. It is most readily distinguished from the Common or Lesser Burdock (<i>Arctium minus</i>) by its florets, which hardly protrude at all from the phyllaries. Order: Asterales, Family: Asteraceae
