Pummelo, Pomelo or Shaddock (<i>Citrus maxima</i>) cut open to show the thick pith and pinkish flesh, with mandarin segments (<i>Citrus reticulata</i>) for size comparison. The largest of the citrus fruits and probably originally native to the Polynesian region, the pummelo resembles a very large greenish-yellow grapefruit but is sweeter.
