Pummelo, Pomelo or Shaddock (Citrus maxima) cut open to show the thick pith and pinkish flesh, with mandarin segments (Citrus reticulata) for size comparison. The largest of the citrus fruits and probably originally native to the Polynesian region, the pummelo resembles a very large greenish-yellow grapefruit but is sweeter. The tree is round-headed, up to 6m tall and has lush foliage. Note: the foliage shown is here is not that of the pummelo. citrus-2140htm'>Citrus.
