Narcissus romieuxii subsp. romieuxii var. rifanus, a variety of the typical form of a rather variable hoop petticoat daffodil native to Algeria. It begins to flower very early, often before the shortest day and differs from the normal subspecies form by having slightly upward facing flowers with anthers that extend beyond the corona. The flowers are pale butter yellow on first opening but age to cream with yellow throats. Order: Asparagales, Family: Amaryllidaceae
