The expanding young spring foliage of the Three-flowered Maple (Acer triflorum), a deciduous tree, up to 25m tall, found in northeastern China and neighbouring parts of Korea. It bears clusters of three small yellow flowers that are followed by samara (sycamores) with a wing up to 45mm long. The leaves are trifoliate. Order: Sapindales, Family: Sapindaceae
