A small path through trees at Halswell Quarry Park, Christchurch, New Zealand. Halswell Quarry, on the outskirts of Christchurch, is no longer used and has become a combined park and potential second botanic garden for the city. The Quarry has sheer sides that were made even steeper as the basalt stone was cut. Many early Christchurch buildings feature Halswell Quarry stone.
