<i>Acaena inermis</i> 'Purpureus', a cultivar of a rhizomatous, prostrate, near-evergreen perennial native to New Zealand. 'Purpureus' has purple-tinted bronze-green foliage. This species is very similar to <i>Acaena microphylla</i>, with near-identical foliage, but its seedheads are on much shorter stems and do not have spines. Order: Rosales, Family: Rosaceae
