Navelwort or Wall. Pennywort (Umbilicus rupestris), a spring-flowering succulent native to Europe, including Britain. It grows in damp crevices and has a clumping habit. The perfoliate, fleshy, deep green foliage is very distinctive. The heads of small greenish-cream flowers open in mid- to late spring and are borne on stems up to 25cm high.
