Bomarea multiflora, a near-evergreen tuberous-rooted perennial vine native to Colombia and Ecuador. Its flowerheads, which open from late winter, are very like those of its relative. Alstroemeria but are borne on twining stems that can climb to 4m. The flowers vary in colour and it is likely that plants cultivated as Bomarea multiflora are hybrids of several species.
