The winter foliage of the Tree Yucca (Yucca filifera), a clumping perennial that eventually develops a tree-like form with a branching trunk that can exceed 6m tall and which may reach 10m. The sword-shaped leaves have fine filaments along their edges and may develop purplish bronze tints in cold weather. The large heads of creamy white flowers open in early summer.
