The centre of <i>Camellia</i> 'Donation' (<i>Camellia saluensis</i> x <i>Camellia japonica</i> 'Donckelarii'), among the earlier x <i>williamsii</i> hybrids, this long-flower shrub was introduced by R. S. Clarke of Sussex. England in 1941. Note that the stamens are fused at the base for about a third of their length, a feature that is more conspicuous on <i>Camellia japonica</i>. Order: Ericales, Family: Theaceae
