The centre of Camellia 'Donation' (Camellia saluensis x Camellia japonica 'Donckelarii'), among the earlier x williamsii hybrids, this long-flower shrub was introduced by R. S. Clarke of Sussex. England in 1941. Note that the stamens are fused at the base for about a third of their length, a feature that is more conspicuous on Camellia japonica. Order: Ericales, Family: Theaceae
