The drooping fruiting heads of the White-spotted. Calla. Lily (Zantedeschia albomaculata), a summer-flowering rhizomatous perennial native to southern Africa. It is one of the parents of the fancy-flowered hybrid callas often grown as cut flowers. It has cream-spathed flowerheads on stems up to 90cm tall When mature, the fruiting heads droop under their own weight, and as the plant dies back in autumn they are left on the ground, with seeds ready to germinate.
