The gold-fleshed kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis) and its red-fleshed form. This deciduous vine fruit is native to China but was developed as a commercial crop in New Zealand. The golden kiwifruit is smaller, smoother, sweeter and has fewer seeds than the green (Actinidia delisiosa) and also differs in the shape of the blossom end of the fruit. The small, berry-like Actinidia arguta is also being promoted as a commercial fruit crop. Order: Ericales, Family: Actinidiaceae
