Sicilian. Honey. Garlic (Allium siculum [syn. Nectaroscordum siculum]), a perennial bulbous-rooted plant found around much of the northern Mediterranean, including Corsica and Sicily. Although the flowerhead is small, the individual flowers are large for an allium and the fine, wiry stem can be up to 1m tall. The foliage is strongly aromatic. This photo is the same as CFGah79 except that the focal point is the anthers of the closer of the two top flowers. allium-2045htm'>Allium.
