The foliage of Crimson Columbine or Western Columbine (<i>Aquilegia formosa</i>), a spring- to summer-flowering perennial native to western North America, where it occurs in woodland, streamside and montane regions from Alaska to Baja. California and eastwards to Montana and Wyoming. The flower stems are up to 1m tall and there are several garden cultivars and natural varieties. The foliage is somewhat variable and this form has quite narrow leaflets and lobes. Order: Ranunculales, Family: Ranunculaceae
