Caragana boisii, sometimes considered to be a form of Caragana arborescens, this deciduous shrub, up to 6m high and native to Siberia and Manchuria, bears small yellow pea-like flowers in spring and summer, followed by inflated seedpods. It will tolerate a wide range of soils from extremely acidic to quite alkaline. Unlike C arborescens, its flowers are always yellow. caragana-2640htm'>Caragana.
