A chimera is an organism that displays two distinct sets of DNA in one organism. This can sometimes happen as the result of grafting or it may be natural. One of the most common natural examples occurs in the South American genus. Cantua in which the deep pink flowers of Cantua buxifolia often occur with the yellow and white flowers of Cantua bicolor. The foliage also differs appropriately with the flower types. Order: Ericales, Family: Polemoniaceae
