Perfoliate. Toad. Lily (<i>Tricyrtis perfoliata</i>), an autumn-flowering perennial, which while quite common in cultivation occurs in the wild in a small area along the Nanuki. River on the southernmost main Japanese island, Kyushu. It forms a small clump of spreading stems and its upward-facing yellow flowers have just a few small red-brown spots and a darker ring around the throat.
