Pacific Chrysanthemum (Ajania pacifica [syn. Chrysanthemum pacificum]), an evergreen or near-evergreen woody-stemmed perennial or subshrub native to Japan and nearby parts of eastern Russia. In mild climates it will often flower in winter. It is sometimes called the silver and gold chrysanthemum because of the colours of the silver-grey indumentum on the underside of the leaves and the yellow flowerheads.
