The foliage and mature fruits of Wild Quince or Bird's Eye (Alectryon subcinereus), an evergreen large shrub or small tree native to eastern Australia. Its compound leaves have leaflets up to 17cm long and its sprays of small green flowers develop into fruits that open to reveal a black seed on a fleshy red aril.
