Great Burdock or Giant Burdock (Arctium lappa), a 15-18m high Eurasian biennial considered a weed but widely used as a medicinal herb, primarily for skin diseases. It also has edible leaves. It is most readily distinguished from the Common or Lesser Burdock (Arctium minus) by its florets, which hardly protrude at all from the phyllaries. Order: Asterales, Family: Asteraceae
