Agapanthus inapertus subsp. pendulus (syn. Agapanthus pendulus), a deciduous, summer-flowering perennial native to South Africa. Its strappy, slightly glaucous leaves are up 70cm long and quite densely crowded. The pendulous deep indigo flowers are borne in fairly small heads atop stems that are typically 1.2m tall, though they can reach 1.8m. Order: Asparagales, Family: Amaryllidaceae
