The bright yellow-green spring foliage of the Golden Elm (Ulmus procera 'Louis van Houtte'). This yellow-leafed cultivar is derived from the English elm. Its exact origins are uncertain. It is quite easily confused with the Golden Wych Elm (Ulmus glabra 'Lutescens'), but has smaller, stiffer leaves that become quite green in summer. Order: Rosales, Family: Ulmaceae
