Viburnum sargentii (syn. Viburnum opulus var. cabescens), a spring-flowering deciduous shrub found from western and northern China to eastern Siberia and Japan. It grows to around 3m tall, with toothed and lobed leaves to 12cm long. The white flowers open from red-tinted buds and are followed by red fruits.
