The top of the flowerhead of <i>Agave mitis</i> var. <i>mitis</i> (syn. <i>Agave celsii var. celsii</i>), an evergreen, rosette-forming, perennial succulent native to central Mexico. It green to blue-green leaves are up to 70cm long and have only very small teeth. The flower stems are 1-1.5m tall and the flowers open from late spring. The flower vary in colour from maroon to pale yellow-green. Order: Asparagales, Family: Asparagaceae
