Camellia 'Buddha', a Camellia reticulata hybrid raised at Descanso. Gardens in California. Introduced in 1948, it was one of the first reticulatas to be widely cultivated in western gardens and is a cross with a form of Camellia pitardii. It has a strongly upright growth habit and its large flowers appear somewhat resistant to petal blight. Order: Ericales, Family: Theaceae
